A small-town TV station's fax prints tomorrow's news. And it comes true.

San Telmo, a small American island, votes on Sunday on selling its port and its airport to Amaze, the megacorp that already owns the supermarket, the trucks and half the farms. Channel 24, the last independent local TV station, has three employees, a weather report recorded in 1996, and it shuts down on Friday.

On Monday at 6:40 AM, the old fax in the control room prints a sheet called TOMORROW'S EDITION with today's headlines. By noon, the first one comes true right in front of Vera Mills's camera.
